Day of Caring

Day of Caring is a single-day event that brings together hundreds of caring employees from different corporate organizations across the country to volunteer with United Way Ghana through community service.

The annual event was previously marked on or around Valentine’s Day to redirect the spirit of love and compassion inherent in the Valentine’s Day tradition towards community building activities.

Since 2006, UW Ghana has organized 11 Day of Caring events, with support from 2,301 Volunteers using 9,204 volunteer hours to impact the lives of 12,012 people nationwide.

Over the years, this community investment program has been rescheduled to coincide with United Way’s Day of Action in June, celebrated worldwide by other United Ways in various countries and territories.

Community Programmes

In response to societal and environmental challenges, United Way Ghana engages communities in a day of caring events. This program brings together corporate entities and community stakeholders to respond to environmental challenges. Some of the activities include sanitation, medical screenings, a day training on skills acquisition, etc.

UNITED WE FIGHT. UNITED WE WIN.
