In a landmark initiative to drive climate action and sustainability, Vivo Energy Ghana, in partnership with United Way Ghana, has launched a comprehensive Renewable Energy Project focused on training for Teachers and young learners from selected schools in Accra. This program, facilitated by experts from Academic City University College, represents a crucial step in equipping educators and young learners with the knowledge and skills to champion renewable energy and energy conservation in their classrooms and communities.
In the inaugural phase of this environmental sustainability project, twelve teachers comprising 6 teachers from La Enobal Basic School and 3 each from La Presby Primary A&B Schools, received an in-depth training on Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Learning Modules, with a particular focus on solar power.
Under the theme “Building a Sustainable Future,” this project aims to provide educators and students with hands-on experiences through workshops, projects, and field trips. The goal is to cultivate a generation of young learners who are knowledgeable about sustainable energy solutions and motivated to act as green ambassadors within their communities.
