United Way Ghana Pays Advocacy Visits to Strategic Health and Education Stakeholders in Accra

As part of our strategic plan for 2025, United Way Ghana embarked on a stakeholder visit to the offices of Dr. Akosua Owusu-Sarpong, Regional Director of Health Services, Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate; Dr. Louisa Matey, Municipal Health Director, Accra Metro Health Service; and Mrs. Justine Appau, Director Accra Metropolitan Education District.

These visits were aimed at reinforcing our existing relationships and sharing updates on our upcoming projects designed to drive impactful change in health and education across the country. The United Way Ghana Team was led by our Executive Director, Ms. Faustina Abbey, and also composed of the Impact Lead, Mrs. Grace Braimah-Foli; Communication Coordinator and WASH Lead, Joseph Matthew; and Education Lead, Kwame Benson.

We are grateful for the warm reception and insightful discussions with both institutions. Together, we are committed to building sustainable communities and creating solutions that improve the well-being and future of Ghanaians.

Vivo Energy Ghana Spreads Love and Kindness at Chosen Women’s Home on Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day, Vivo Energy Ghana and United Way Ghana joined hands to spread love and kindness at the Chosen Women Home, Accra. This was part of the Vivo Energy Ghana's Employee Engagement activities, designed to engage and empower vulnerable groups this season of love.

We spent the day with these incredible women, sharing moments of joy, mentoring, and support. The Vivo Energy Ghana employees engaged in the following activities:

✨ Coaching and mentoring session to offer guidance to the survivors;

✨ Bead Crafting Workshop, facilitated by representatives from Engage Now Africa, where employees and survivors created beautiful beadwork together.

✨ Skills Development, through enrollment of survivors in a bead crafting training program, providing them with the necessary tools and materials to start their own bead craft businesses.

Vivo Energy Ghana also made a wholesome donation of food supplies and other important items to support the well-being of the Survivors.

A big thank you to Vivo Energy Ghana who made this possible, and to the amazing women at Chosen Women Home for inspiring us with their strength and resilience.
